Making jerky for ice fishing next weekend

Making venison jerky as healthier snack when I go ice fish! Don't get me wrong them mini doughnuts and Mountain Dew are good but they are not helping me stay alive.

The people fished most of the sunfish out of Osakis... Three winters ago there was a ton of houses out there and they were really going. The next winter the same thing happened. Always could get nice ones in the summer and winter and the past 2 years i haven't caught much for them.

There are still some nice ones in there but not nearly as much as there used to be.

Is it still a soon up there with the houses in the bay I know last year it wasn't as bad as years prior

Was up there two weeks ago and there wasn't many houses. Not sure about now would guess there's not many if there not biting.

The real problem with jerky is it just does not last long? I try to store it to make it last longer and the next thing I know it's gone!  Who's eating it! My wife doesn't like it and I'm the only other one home.  Aliens or Big Foot?

Made pulled pork and cole slaw for sandwiches on Sunday's trip to Winni! Wow that was good about half way through the day. We've got a little inverter we plug in the van for the crock pot. 

 

Moose you can't go wrong with jerky on the ice.

Well my wife will not eat venison she said!! Lol she is chomping down the jerky!! It turned out great not saying I have eaten my fair share. Brought one bag to work and everyone came running. Next year I will need to shoot an extra deer if possible just for jerky
