What are some of your go-to options for cold front conditions?

Normaly, I am on the move. Weather it be spot to spot or hole to hole, always trying to find the next bite. But durring cold front conditions, like we had yesterday and again today I choose to take a different route. For me, siting tight durring tough conditions has usually paid off move than jumping around would. Finding a school of fish or a likley looking ambush point and parking right on top of it, then working it hard can be the key to sucess durring the cold cold days.

When it's bluebird condition it always boils down to me using a small 4 or 3mm pink jig with a small profile plastic, or something big and aggressive like a big minnow bait like a Lindy Darter for crappies or a small jigging rap or puppet minnow for bluegills.

Good info.  I gotta try the bigger stuff once in a while.

Post cold front I will still typically hole hop during the day, but I make sure I'm pre-drilled and set up on a "go-to" spot before sundown if I'm on a walleye lake.  If we're chasing perch or occasional crappie, we use aggressive jigging coupled with small stationary live baits on a dead stick.  I've had 14" perch literally sit and stare at a motionless 1/32 oz jig tipped with one spike for 5 minutes before swimming away, then coming back, then barely kissing the bait.  Camera is a big help on these negative fish.  You can see them literally turn tail when a jigging motion is too aggressive.
