Swallow water bite was very good for one hour in nthe morning and one hour in the evening. Did put back a 23 1/2 and a 22 inch walleyes. Fishing was slow but probably normal for LOW this year.

How was the roads going out of Long Point? Are there breaks? Could you drive all over or stick to the road? Are people down to 4wheelers/sleds?

The roads there are in good shape. You can still go out in a pickup with no prob. Fished there on saturday most of the day with little luck...3 eyes

Those numbers are not very good. I wonder if the weather (holding on the cool side) is keeping the bite down. We usually fish around this time of year and generally catch that between two of us in one day. Is there any melting going on yet up there?

I believe the hog hunting farm is called Ridge Hunting Preserve, it is east of Little Falls the phone number is 320-745-2337 I know people who have hunted up there in the past and had a good time. They said the hogs were running wild in a 20 or 40 acre fenced area but it is not usually easy to get one but there is a high success rate if you have the time to work the area. I am going to confirm the location/name and will probably hunt there this year. Russian Boar are supposed to be pretty tasty and there are meat processors near by to drop the hog off at.

I went out after the wind died down. Caught 23 with a mix of eyes and saugers.  12 to 15”   With no slots. Fished 12 to 27’.

For Vermilion, the Lowrance lake insight data is identical to Lakemaster, 3 foot contours.

Maybe you should check the various sites that sell mapping stuff?   What is the Lowrance offering?   Is there a different Navionics choice?

Hi everyone, I will be heading to Echo Lake, in the superior national Forest, the middle of June.  Never been there, but the small amount I found on this site says it's a good fishing lake.  Does anyone have past experience on this lake?  I'm targeting walleye mostly, but Pike and crappie are always on my menu.  Are there any lure colors that have worked well for you?  I'm mostly a live bait fisherman.  Any presentations that worked well?  Any advice will be greatly appreciated with this lake, and I will report back how it went/what worked.  Thank you everyone.
