Does anyone know if Babblers by Arnesons resort is open this year? Would like to try that area this weekend

I doubt if he will have it open. I talked to him last week and he said he is waiting for at least a foot everywhere. Give him a call at 218 442 6661.

I spoke to Dick yesterday and he said that he is still waiting for better ice to get a road started. He also said that the ice is extremely rough around the shore line, so there wont be alot of room for people to park and is basically encouraging people to wait. We have two permanent shacks parked up there and hope to get them out the weekend of the 17th. The honey hole is calling!!!

Richard was on KTRF this morning with Big Red. Basiclly said what grip-em stated. "Road is not open yet, no parking area because of all the rough shore ice". He said that they were going out exploring today to check conditions. He heard a rumor that a crack had opened up. He also said that possibly by next weekend he would have a road open. He's worried about the larger (diesel) pickups traveling on the ice too soon, before it's thick enough.
