Smokin a deer.

I get final payback for the 2 deer that smoked my

vehicles in the last 12 months because today I will

fire up the Smoker and make some Jerky (actually, lots of it).

I had pretty much not planned on fishing this weekend, in

fact I tried to switch weekends with a co-worker so I would

have all next weekend on the ice. That fell through so I

now must stay in town till at least 10 am next Saturday...

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Reminder to all of you that Saturday the 17th will be

a big day on the lake for F/M faithfuls to meet and greet

while venturing out for early ice Walleyes over Pine or

out from Morris Point or Zipple.

Hey Curt, Got ya beat, I got three in the last 12 months, one totaled my van, killed one with my Grand Prix with not a scratch and the last one on Monday with my pick up. All within 8 miles of my house, one near my mail box. Wish someone would shoot some of these deer up here. I'm trying to do my part, between hunting seasons and driving on county road 2 an 11 I got seven in the last year, so I'm doing my part. See ya on the 17th, outside of breakfast at Riverbend are there any specific plans or meeting places?

It would be nice if we would all fish in the same general

area. Fishing should be pretty good everywhere. Maybe

we can decide that morning?(or as the 17th gets closer)

I would really like to see some daytime visiting amongst the

group this time. Maybe lunch hour on the ice from 12 to 1

would be worthwhile?

Ideas?

Curt, sound like more than a few of us will be fishing out there friday so we will maybe have a grasp on depth's and some 'where's' by Saturday am. I'd bet the roads will be open to vehicles by then no problem. A kind of gouping up would be nice so I/we could do some on ice visiting.
