Looking for Resort Info

Recommended Posts

rich4walleyes

Hi guys. We are heading up to LOW next June and I am looking for some info on resorts and fishing areas. We have thought about the area around Pine Island. Is this decent fishing around the middle of June? Also what does anyone know about Cyrus Resort? One of the guys said it was a pretty nice place to stay so we are thinking about staying there. Thanks in advance for the help.
Rich

Don't know much about Cyrus. I've heard good things.
I've been using Ballard's Resort's services for several years and have been very pleased. Fishing in the middle of June most years can be nothing short of fantastic in the Pine Island area. Usually the fish are stacked up near the Gap or along the island.
Good Luck,
MJ
MJ

Rich, I use the ramp at Cyrus as I'm located right between Cyrus and Walleye Retreat. Cyrus is very nice with a bar and restaurant, swimming pool, lots of amenities. Walleye Retreat is also very nice but without the amenites--and quite a bit cheaper. Either place you are only a few minutes from the fishing grounds.

Old Snags

Rich, I would recommend Cyrus. WE were up there the 1st part of june this year and stayed at Cyrus. The cabins were nice and clean and big. Some cabins are fairly new.

I would recommend Adrian's. They've got nice cabins, and if your planning on camping they have R.V. and tent sites as well. They're also out towards the end of the river so it's a shorter drive out to the gap than some of the other places.
Honestly, all of the places are great it just depends on where you want to stay, and the place you want to stay in.
Ryan
