Fished Saturday afternoon and picked up 5 eaters. Tried in front of Pine Island drifting crawlers with no success. Went out west of Pine with the fleet and caught one walleye in 33 feet with a crankbait on leadcore line. Went back in front of the gap and leadcored 4 more before I left. All these fish were caught in 18-22 feet. Experimenting with leadcore line for the first time. Beautiful afternoon and a great time.

Fishnut2,I had people out on Fri. we pulled plugs north of Twin I. we did very good, so I went back to the same area with Curt Q.and family on Sat. I don't know how many fish below 14 inches we caught and released but it was a bunch!! Curt's new sisterinlaw caught the biggest (24") yes he took plenty of pics.!! Sat. was beautiful,Sun. was back to a good chumming chop (at least that's the way my grandson saw it.) We were back at the dock within two hours. Listening to the marine band it sounded like the fishing was still good dispite the wind.
------------------
Old Guide Charters
Lake of the Woods
http://fishingminnesota.com/oldguidecharters/
Call Toll Free:1-800-952-(9484)

My dad and I fished up there on Saturday also in the Pine Island area. What a beautiful day on the water!!!
We ended up catching our fish on #30 chrome jet divers and #13 Rapala floaters in chartuese and fire tiger patterns.
Mainly small saugers and the action was not fast and furious. In fact, as the day wore on the action continually slowed.
How was the rock bite around Long Point and Arensen's on Saturday?
