Trip to Oak Island

Looking for information on services that can take 4 guys and gear, from Baudette to Oak Island Resort, on 20 May and back to Baudette on the 23 of May.<P>Thanks<P>------------------<BR>Teach kids to hunt and fish.

Floatplane or Watertaxi? I take it you don't want to drive to the angle? Watertaxi trip would be much cheaper if you did.<P>fiskyknut

Fiskynut is right. The most economical way is to drive to the Angle and call the "Island Passenger Service" for a ride from Young's bay to your resort. Your resort will have the number for the shuttle.<P>Getting to the Angle used to be nice when we had Baudette Flying Service running out of Wheeler's Point but they've been gone for a couple of years now. Too bad, that was a neat flight...

For the past two years, Sportsman's has been offering a shuttle service from Baudette to the Angle. This can be arranged through Oak Island Resort.

Hey, thanks for the help. I've contacted Chris Hennum at Island Passenger Service, and he said he would take care of us. We used to fly there from Baudette, and it was great, was sad to see them go. We have been driving up to the Angle Inlet ever since they stopped, and Charlie would take us to Paul & Lorri's place on Oak Island, but we wanted to try something different, and not drive. Is there also a good place to get leaches in bulk, around the Baudette area?<P>Thanks

If you want leeches by bulk in baudette, fiskynut should be able to help you out email him and he'll let you know where. there is a few places around the baudette area.
