Does anyone know it there is a local service for on-off?  Looking to have someone put my house put on Tonka and then remove at end of the season and transport to my storage facility.

So I just received my fathers ice shack he built more than 20 years ago. He never got to take it out because of life so it’s been sitting there since rotting away. I’m doing some TLC on it and want to get some wiring done before the inside is done. I’ll have a propane wall heater, that’s easy to do for me. But I don’t know much on how to configure a 12V system. I just want to add a couple lights inside and 3 or 4 outlets, possibly lights outside as well. Nothing crazy but I want to be able to build off of it in the later future. Please give me some criticism or whatever you please. Just want to do it right and safely. Shack is 6’ X 10’.

Check and Double Check ice thickness BEFORE putting your Wheeler and ice House/Portable out. Dec 17 two wheelers went threw 1 1/2 to 2 inches on Ottertail. Area around where units went threw had 7" to 9" ice. A spud bar check would have saved them many $$$ recovery cost. Thanks to Tri-State Diving for recovery.

      Hi All,

I have just purchased a cabin in Frazer bay. We are in need of a recommended cabin inspector. Would anyone be able to provide a recommended contact?

Looks like my Canada trip in August may not be able to happen due to uncertainty that boarder will open in time. Our group is tossing around the idea of going up
to lake vermilion instead. I am wondering if anyone has advise on where to stay. I have done some looking around and most resorts rent by the week. Any info would be greatly appreciated

There is an article in the Timberjay asking people to complete a survey that would help bring broadband to the area. I don't know much about this so I'm not promoting anything except for awareness.

I’m not even sure if I’m in the right page I just signed up but my question is I just purchased a boat from a private seller went to his home the boat fired up I purchased the boat, the day before I brought it out which was about a week and a half later it fired up brought it to the lake the next day it fired up boated around for about 25 minutes found a spot to fish It was off for about an hour or so went to start it back up and it would not fire back up had to be towed off the lake so the moral of the story is there anyway I can go back and get my money legally without no trouble or what is my next step if the seller does not want to give the money back?

Greetings....I'm searching for an original TUFFY (molded metal, left side or set of 2) TRANSOM CORNER for a rebuild on a 1985 Tuffy Muskie. Several TUFFY boats had these so being specifically from a Marauder may not be necessary. Wondering if anyone can help in locating one from a dealer or private party who may have upgraded to more modern transom corners/caps....maybe a boat that's been abandoned or scraped.
Photo attached of the right-rear that I am trying to  set-match to. The right side I have. Need to get a left side cap.
      Thanks for any assistance.

Hey guys and gals. I am going up to lake kabetogama around June 18 for 2-3 days targeting pike. I have been up several times and not caught anything over 25 inches. I want to try and locate a true monster this time. Any spot recommendations and or lure recommendations? Thank you!

I wish to thank gimruis for the response to my posting.  We have read many other reviews and checked with a local bait shop and have decided to head up to MN for one more ice fishing trip this weekend.  I think I NOW see the pattern that most of your members are in the St Cloud area!!  Perhaps someday in the future we may wander off to those parts.  Thanks to all who read my post and good luck to all the anglers out there.   Thanks  Happy Fishing

I have measured the ice thickness in the same area 10 feet south of my fish house and found the following: 1/30 - 23", 2/18 - 32", 2/26 - 34".  This area has been bare of snow, probably due to the wind direction.  In areas of snow cover the ice thickness will be much less.  Just for comparison I found 26" of ice on Burntside last week.   With the light snow cover and long, very cold stretch we had in February, I think Vermilion will have ice throughout April.  Of course warm weather, heavy rain, and wind could significantly change that.  After March (and the end of lake trout fishing), I don't care how soon the ice goes off.

We had a place in Soudan just down the hill from the underground mine.  I installed a decent antennae ($150) on a mast 15 feet high and we only get 3 television channels there (NBC is the only major network channel).  You may have a little better luck on the lake.
