Can Percy still return kicks/punts?

Not sure I care for him as a receiver anymore, but they can't have Hughes doing kicks anymore given the lack of DB depth.

(I loved Sherels, (the bookworm, ex-gopher) but it's time to put that pony out to pasture...  His muffed punt in the playoffs/49ers was like the Godfather II--"Fredo, You broke my heart!")?

Any Thoughts on vikings opener? This team especially on defense looks very good on paper with all the off season additions I'm exited to see if every thing can come together. Our O line has question marks but also some young potential.

Sometimes I’m glad I have to work when they play. Today was one of those. Would have been so disappointed to have wasted a beautiful day in the house watching them play just good enough to lose.  Instead I wasted a beautiful day at work. They have good enough players, but they just can’t get it all together some weeks. Looks as though they will still be in 1st place after tonight. So there is still hope. At least we looked better than Packers.

I was just going to say that kinda funny we are in first place after that performance. O-line was just a complete disaster Kirk never had any space to step up in the pocket and make a throw none the less he still went 39/49 with 350 yds and 2 tds not bad as he was running for his life the entire game.

I quit watching at half time and went outside. Decided to turn the radio on, had to come in when OT started, only to be disappointed again.?

...and that was the worst team that they will play all season. It's a rough road ahead.

You don't know that Cincy is the worst team they will play all season.  We only have 1 game in the books and that does not represent a pattern.

The penalties are what frustrate me.  They are completely avoidable and preventable.  3 false starts on the first offensive series alone?  C'mon.  That's why you have 3 pre season games, to work out those kinks, adjust to game speed, block out back ground noise, and develop chemistry with your teammates.  Its a direct reflection of coaching.  Zimmer did not have his team prepared.

As poorly as they played in the first half, they showed some resiliency and heart to come back and force OT in the second half and had a legit chance to win until that fumble.  I also watched the rest of the division and sad to say, the Vikings were the best team out of all four, with the Packers being the worst.  The winner of the division could end up 8-9 or even 7-10 this season.  But if you win your division, you get a home playoff game.  Washington won their division last season at 7-9 and hosted a playoff game.

The NFC West looks stacked.  And unfortunately, the next 2 games are against that division.  Looking at an 0-3 start.

Just grateful that I can watch football again because baseball sucks.

He says this-"We only have 1 game in the books and that does not represent a pattern."

Then says this-"And unfortunately, the next 2 games are against that division.  Looking at an 0-3 start"  ?

The first portion was specifically referring to the Bengals.  The second one was specifically referring to the Vikings.  I may have misrepresented myself on that one though.

I dont know if you can consider the Bengals the worst team we play this season  considering we play Carolina who is very bad and how poor the entire division looked in week 1. The Bengals were bad last year but also consider Joe Burrow was out for a lot of the year. As far as up and coming teams I think the Bengals have potential to be a high power offense this year. Our schedule looks like a meat grinder this year to say the least.

You can't make this up anymore.  37 yard kick for the win and he pushes it right?  Somewhere Blair Walsh is laughing at us about this.

After the first game I thought, may be we have a kicker at least? ?

I enjoy playing video games. During my free time, I play PlayStation games. Let me know where I can find anime games for the PlayStation 4. I read it from https://animefillerlist.net/monogatari-anime-watch-order/. Tell me about your experience with it.

I hunt in the rifle zone so I don't have a need to use a shotgun to hunt deer, but I would be looking at this if there was ever a need to.   There could be state legislation introduced next summer that eliminates the shotgun zone completely.  It has bipartisan support.  Wisconsin removed theirs years ago and MN is usually later to follow.  They've tried to pass it more than once and it came up just short both times.  Probably just a matter of time.

      Screw that, here's whatch need!  😆   Power-Shok Rifled Slug 10 Gauge 766 Grain Grain Weight: 766 Shotshell Length: 3-1/2in / 89mm Muzzle Velocity: 1280

20 ga has become a real popular deer round in the last 5 or so years.  The rifled barrels are zinging those sabot slugs with rifle like accuracy out to 100 yards easily.  Some go so far as dialing in for a 200 yard shot but really, by 150 they’re falling off pretty low.   I have a single shot Ultraslug in 20 ga that shoots really well at 100 yards.  Most everyone I know that has bought a slug gun lately has gotten the Savage 220 in 20ga.  Problem can be finding the shells you want.
    • leech~~
My son always bugs me about getting a nice light over-under 20ga for grouse hunting.  I say Heck no, I'm getting a 3 1/2" 10ga so I can put as much lead in the air that I can!!     So, I'm keeping my 12ga.
    • 11-87
That’s almost exactly what I was thinking.  Have slug barrels for both   One for turkey and one for deer.      I have a 20ga mosseberg as well. (Combo came with the scope but never used.   I always liked the 12 better

Wanderer is right on the money and covered it well.  I was wondering too if you had a slug barrel for one of your guns?  If so you could make that your slug gun with a scope, and the other your turkey gun with the Red dot.  As you can afford it.
    • Wanderer
Kinda depends on if you want magnification or quick target acquisition.   More magnification options and better accuracy with a scope.  You get what you pay for too so get comfortable with a budget for one.  Tasco and Bushnell work but I find they lose their zero easier, have low contrast and don’t gather light well in low light conditions.  That said, I’m still using one I haven’t replaced yet.  Vortex has been the hot brand for the past several years for bang for the buck.  Good products.  Nothing beats Swarovski though.  Huge dough for those.  Burris is another decent option.   There are some specific models for shotgun/slug hunting in the economy brands and bullet drop compensation (BDC) reticles.  Based on experience I’d recommend not falling for that marketing ploy.   Red dots are usually lower magnification and easier to get on target.  Reasonably accurate but don’t do well with definition, like searching the brush for your target.  I put a HAWKE red dot on a .22 for squirrels and it’s been good.  For turkey, that’s probably the route I’d go.     If your slug shots are normally not too far and too brushy, I’d think a red dot could work there too if you’re only buying 1 scope.  You’ll be better off dimming the reticle to the lowest setting you can easily use to not over shine the target and get a finer aim point.   If you don’t have a slug barrel, you might appreciate one of those.  I had a browning with a smoothbore slug barrel that shot Brenneke 2-3/4 inch well.  The 11-87 would well fitted with a cantelever rifled barrel.

Looking for recommendations on scope or red dot    I basically hunt turkey and whitetail, live in southern MN. So it’s all deer/ shotgun    looking to add a scope/ red dot as my eyes don’t work like they used to to with the open sights.    my gun options are 11/87 12. Browning BPS 12    not looking for the most expensive or the cheapest    pros and cons of one over the other

That's good news. I haven't seen any ice in Black Bay yet, but it looks like the small bays should start to freeze up this weekend. Hopefully we make some ice next week.   Below is the forecast for Cook. We should have temps mostly below zero . The bottom section below shows that it should not be windy, and no snow is predicted. All good signs for making ice.
