Chuck Kenworthy - By Golly

Recommended Posts

Sort of went/happened without saying - Chuck Kenworthy - the interesting old-timer on KQ92 radio passed away late last year.  He always brought a smile to my face.

Here is his obituary - http://www.helgesonfuneralhome.com/notices/CharlesChuck-R-Kenworthy

He had all of the old-timer, one-liners, with an implied grin.

He will be missed by me.

That's too bad. I remember listening to Chuck on KQ92 and KRWB when I was growing up and up until recently. He had a great radio voice. My father knew him fairly well as he graduated from Roseau HS one year before my dad. He will be missed. RIP Chuck.

Absolutely agreed. My morning cup of coffee and watching the sunrise or set with his voice on the air made me keep my wheelhouse for an extra year back in the day!

Oohhh, I'll tell you what folks, it is just a beautiful day to be in the northland!!!

Heard that one a time or two.

Classic Country Sunday, the opening 15 minutes were the best.

Chuck was a real, authentic, honest to goodness good guy.  He loved being on the radio and you could tell.  Radio lost a friend.  RIP Chuck

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
