Moose's Report - Cambridge-Elk River-Foley-Milaca-Mora-Ogilvie Fishing Reports

Well the trip up north for grouse hunting with my best high friend and my old man. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and came home today. We saw a few birds and Hazel was doing awesome. We seen 4 moose.

It was a video of the bull going down the road, a cow going down the road, and Hazel working the trail. Also a video of a big ship on Superior.

Went back to local Lake X and did very well.  18 largemouth and 4 pike with a friend in about 5 hours.  Not another soul out there the whole time.  Piled into several sizable largmeouth, including the biggest for my friend this season, a 5 pounder.

They are still on my list. 

They tended to show up as the ice formed.

You need to spend more time in the Arrow head.  Seen a bunch, suucks when their in the trail or road when your on a snowmobile or trail bike!

Well I think I will try to get out hunting for some pheasants this weekend or head to the Mille Lacs Lake area for some grouse.

Was up in the McGrath area today, save your time.  Saw 3 birds, put in a few miles.  North side maybe better?

Just remember that there is a 4 day youth and antleress firearms season open starting tomorrow.  You'll need some extra blaze orange.

Well I went check my dads for deer sign and had my shotgun with and I saw some deer tracks and scrape. I also had my fall turkey tag in my pocket. I heard a yelp and I look to raspberry patch and out steps 7 turkeys 10 yards away. I put the bead on the first one and Boom the turkey flop begins.
