Good luck finding anything else too.  Last weekend Scheels was completely switched over to ice fishing.

I noticed that too and it did not please me.  I went in there looking for bass plastics, line, and some other items and virtually the entire open water fishing section was gone other than rapala crank baits.  They lost my business that day.

Well hazel is 27.1 pounds at 14 weeks old. Her favorite thing is Finn. I got her smelling and following wing scent trails. It is fun training a new pup.

Yesterday my cousin and I went out grouse hunting for two hours for his birthday and well we did well!

The grouse are snacks for the Vikings game tomorrow. Not one deer seen this morning but boy did I see some ducks flying over head

Lol either you or your cuz posted this on another forum. I told him not to waste good food on the Vikings game, it could make you sick!

Yeah but the grouse was great

Well a few grouse taken yesterday morning. My old man is out to find his limit of grouse today. I am still trying to get a buck.

My dad finally seen a deer and it was a 6 pointer and it went through to fast or he was on his cell phone playing a game.

dang moose........thats more grouse then i've SEEN in the last 4 years.  i went out the thursday/friday before deer opener and they were spooky.

I carry some 3 inch 6s for grouse and I put the bead on the top of their head and boom. 30-40 yards is so able compared to using low powered trap loads.

I harvested this 9 pointer on private land south of Milaca on Wed, Nov 10 at 10:30am.  I had seen it earlier behind me chasing a doe and 2 fawns in the brush but couldn't take a shot.  At 10:30am, he trotted out to my right and presented an easy 40 yard broad side shot.  I also filled a bonus tag on Tuesday evening with a small corn fed doe.  I kept the doe for the freezer and gave the leathery old buck to someone else.

 

It was the best season I've had in years in terms of deer activity.  I hunted 7 days of the 9 day season, and Tues and Wed were especially good before that weather front came in on Wed evening.  I even was able to watch a large 8 pointer at 400 yards in the grass with almost completely white antlers chase off four smaller bucks for almost an hour every time one of them got near his doe.  It was fascinating behavior that I rarely get to observe.  Every time one of those smaller bucks would get too close, that big one would drop his head and charge.  I saw that buck a couple more times during the season but never close enough to take a reasonable shot.  If he makes it until next season, he'll be a big buck.  I nicknamed him "whitey."

Haha ya I cut the antlers off before he picked it up.  He isn't picky about what deer I give him and his whole family loves eating it, so its a win-win.

Saw some ponds were ice covered the other day they opened up today from what I saw. Getting excited for ice season.

Can not wait for it. Any new interesting gear additions for anyone this year? I will be hitting up a couple ice expos in the next couple weeks those are always a blast.

nope no new gear here..........iffin the fish dont wanna bite on what i currently have.........well they can just.......just go away!!!!!!!!!
