Nice on Sunday!

I was sitting out on Lake of the Woods on Sunday morning, the wind was light out of the North West, the sun was shining and the fish were biting.  I wondered why have I seen only 2 other boats?

Fall fishing is awesome, the best of it comes on the nice days of course but with Ice Armor on and backs tucked in behind the windshield it is really pretty pleasant.  Who else was out this weekend?

Curt, I too enjoyed the fall weather and excellent fishing.  However, I was about 2 hours south of you on Cutfoot.  As the rain tapered off at dawn and the sun began to shine late morning into noon the boats started to multiply.  I am glad though that people chose to get out and enjoy the day as much as my father and I were!  Unfortunately this was my last outing, but I couldn't be happier ending my boating season on a positive note.  I hope you are able to do the same!

Thanks Crank,

I think there might be a couple more open water trips yet this season.  Opening day of deer hunting is my favorite day on the water (weather permitting)

Have a great fall

My boat will still be ready in November so unless the weather turns to keep me on shore fishing is great in the lake and it ought to be as good as it is going to get in the river.  Shiner run is spotty but there are some running.  Still plenty of time for the big numbers to show up.

The Lake. I dont get into the river much.  The river is awesome in the fall and spring but the lake is steady all the time (unless the wind is blowin' too hard, then I can stay on shore)
