Just wondering if anyone is seeing any blueberries yet?  We're headed up to Namakan on Thur. 7/9 and we'll be looking.  Are the best areas the sunny slopes of shorelines?

Thanks for any help.  I'll post what we find.

I was camping over the 4th and we found a few ripe ones in sunny areas.  Most were still green yet.

We usually find our first ripe blueberries on south facing slopes, but I think that its a little too early for any yet.  Typically the last two weeks of July seem to be prime out on Namakan.  Inlaws were up the 21st to 26th and they were all green and small then.

We'll be up Wednesday to Sunday in the Wolf Pack area.  If you see a black Tyee/175 Verado (and most likely a yellow lab) that'd be me.

Thanks guys.  Part of the fun is simply the hunt for berries.  We're on the east side of the lake in a black Pro Sport with 5 kids......and hopefully with a tub of blueberries and a live well full of walleyes....

Out here on Namakan now. A good amount of ripe blueberries on our island on the south side. Tons of green ones too, should be a good year for them.

Blueberry pancakes tomorrow!!!!!

Had a great trip this past weekend 7/9-7/12. Blueberries were just getting ripe.  Patches would be green one day and ripe the next, it happened really fast.  Should be really good right now.
