I'd troll deep cranks off points for pike and jig deep rockpiles for bass, but I'm not that good of a guide.:) There are 80 pages of posts in this forum going back to 2000. Just go back and look at the posts in your time frame for several years back and you'll get some ideas.

That late in summer most of the big bass I have caught have been deep (25'+) on rigged leeches.  There are always smaller bass in that 10-15' range.

For pike, big pike, my best bait has been about a 12" walleye that I am reeling in off a deep water reef.  Every year the biggest pike we hook is in August and hitts a walleye we've hooked and are reeling in.  The big pike move offshore and follow the eye's out onto the reefs.  Try trolling large deep diving cranks around reef structure.

I will be up on Namakan the 20th to the 23rd on our annual "guys" trip, and every year (we go the same weekend) I really only fish walleyes.  The smallies I catch are "accidents" while rigging for eye's.

Cast x-raps (big size) off of rock piles. Youll catch bass and pike that way. Late Aug early sept is the best time to catch huge pike on top water. Id use a booyah buzzbait with trailer hook.
