Just a heads up to those that will be making the first trip of the year to Pool 4 in the next few weeks...the back channel access is still down for construction. Evert's Resort is the only option for launching on Pool 4 until the marinas open up.

Thinking about heading down this weekend. Is the backchannel ramp open for use yet or under construction?

I think it'll be down for a while. I haven't been over there during the week to see if they are working on it during the week, but there is a pretty major renovation going on. With the warm temps and increased flow/level the Bills Bay side of colville may not be too far out. There was still trucks on bay point this weekend. Better plan to launch at everts and be patient.

I scoped out all the accesses in upper pool 4 yesterday. The back channel looks like they are close. They had the ramp poured and curing blankets on the slab. My buddy pointed out an article online saying it will be done in a couple weeks if I recall correctly.

Baypoint is still a ways out.

Boats were launching on the Bills Bay side of Colville yesterday and the main launch is real close to being usable. Maybe even the next day or so.

Of course Everts is always open. The line can be long but goes extremely smooth. I launch there solo a lot without any issues.

I saw a post on Facebook that the new back channel access is officially open as of earlier this week. From the pics, it looks like a major improvement and should relieve a lot of congestion during the busy spring and fall periods.

I think you're talking about the WI Channel access?  There's a fee now.  $5 per day or $30 for a season pass.  Pierce Co didn't like seeing all those MN lic plates using their ramp for free I guess.
