New AT&T cell tower near Cook???

I'll test it next week. I'm excited to see where I can and can't get a signal. Maybe I'll be able to get rid of my Starlink!

I have been asking about this particular cell tower for quite some time now!  I have never received any answer from anyone.  When I was last up in Cook, MN, I noticed that the new tower in the gravel pit across from the "White Eagle Resort" driveway DID have some new equipment atop the tower, but it must not have been turned on as of that time.

 

But, I have not been up there since those posts dated 12/19/22 were made that were saying that it is now operational!  IS that tower now operational?  This would enhance my cell reception greatly as I have a direct "line of site" to this tower from my cabin.   Up to now, I have been receiving the signal from the Frazier Bay tower and the cell reception is spotty at best.  I had been trying to use my "mobile hotspot" to conduct work business, but it just did NOT have the necessary horsepower in the signal to maintain a proper connection for both my "Zoom" calls and my VoIP phone system.

It's up and running. At least that's what I was told by someone who's privy to the info.

I can confirm that I have 3-4 bars the entire drive from Cook to The Landing. When I winter park at a cabin near CigarGuy, I get two bars way up on the hill but still through the trees. There is good reception out on the lake but I haven't exactly been riding around and pulling out my phone to check my cell reception.

 

Depending on where you are, you may have 4 bars or none. I have none still, but that's because I'm on the north side of a hill with tall trees between my cabin and the tower.
