Its incredible to see, especially in such a short period of time, the 180 this country has taken racially. A black man has become president, and all the while blacks in general seem to be the most racially charged angry group in the country. What gives?

There didnt need to be a grand jury. The county attorney could have just charged him with something like involuntary manslaughter and it could have went straight to trial. Try to keep up.

The only reason it even went as far as it did going to a Grand Jury is that Sharpton, and company were down there making a big deal of it. Other than than that it would have an internal investigation never hit the front page for more than 1 day, much less months.

Here is some info I found from a VERY liberal/BIASED HSOforum..

Report: Black Male Teens Are 21 Times More Likely To Be Killed By Cops Than White Ones

They go on to say this is because police are biased towards black teens.....That's a pretty large number to just be a bias.

Looks like the mob tried to do a number on his vehicle as he was attempting to get through the intersection. A few basic lessons learned:

1. Don't get into a physical altercation with a cop and you probably won't get shot.

2. Don't block an intersection with your phony protest and you probably won't get hit by a car.

Because their Savior just perpetuated the problem instead of working to resolve it! How many black deaths did Obama personally get involved with in the last few years? How many white deaths did he make "It could have been my son" news broad casts for? whistle

JB the 180 in race relations since o took office started turning early in his presidency when he said, without any of the facts, that the Cambridge police department acted foolishly, followed by the infamous "beer summit" debacle. Nowadays we have the congressional black caucus and other democratic representatives calling the GJ decision fixed, racist and unjust….inexcusable and very sad for our country.

Yeah, it looked like such a great dumb idea, they just had to do something in Mpls.

Situations like this would be a great opportunity for the media to do some personal interviews with some of the protesters to see if they actually had any clue what they were protesting.

Obama last night: "First and foremost, we are a nation built on the rule of law."

Seriously, did he really say that without cracking a smile after his treasonous end-around of the Constitution last week?

Really?

You can't make it up.

So this copper gets out of the car after all of this knowing with absolute certainty in his mind that the only way he can stop Mike Brown is to shoot him if it becomes physical again. So what does he do?? He gets out of the car and runs after him and the rest is history.

Was it "immediately necessary" to stop Mike Brown right then and there?? Absolutely not if you ask me. And I think that is where you are losing ALL of these other people who are so P'd off. We are talking about a couple cigars here. Surely a physical anomaly such as Mike Brown sticks out like a sore thumb in Ferguson, MO. He could have waited a couple minutes and had some backup and picked him up 5 mins later. How wreckless was it for him to get out when it was two on one anyways?? How did he know that Dorrian Scumbag wasnt gonna cap him when he wasnt looking?

They don't know what they're protesting! They don't care either! The "protestors" and rioters would've still come out in full force even if the grand jury gave them the answer they wanted. The only difference is, they'd be cheering as they burned the city down, instead of chanting.

So when you're out on patrol, what do you do?

Never been out on patrol? Didn't think so. Everything you have stated in this thread is 100 percent irrelevant. You suggested earlier that the prosecutor should have just charged him with manslaughter and let a jury see different scenarios.

One, a prosecutor can't just charge someone with a crime unless there is some evidence or suspicion a crime was committed.

Two, a jury's job is to just look at the facts, not guess if a crime was committed based on scenarios no one knows happened

The lesson in all this is it's hazardous to your health to attempt to disarm a cop then charge him

At least some of the eyewitness testimony sure sounds suspicious. 150 feet sounds suspicious too.

The bar for the GJ is pretty low. I'm surprised it didn't get sorted out by trial.

I suspect if this was a civilian it would have went trial.

I really don't have a side on this one, I just thought it sounded iffy enough for it to go to trial. It sounds like the GJ sorta treated it like a trial.

Perhaps.

But a cop's job is to protect the community with the expectation that they can and should use lethal force, if absolutely necessary.

IOW, Wilson had a duty to confront Brown over the report of the robbery. Which is different from the Martin/Zimmerman incident were Zimmerman had no duty to confront Martin

It sounds like it was a guy that ran over the leg of a lady protestor.

Here are a few Tweets about it on KARE11. I had to fix a few! wink

@BlakeKARE11 @a_standal @LindseySeavert if there's a car coming, get off the road.Ferguson protestors are apparently a little dense.

@LindseySeavert @kare11 guess she should have gotten the F**& out of the way, stupid libtards...

@LindseySeavert @KMBZradio Well the motorist was probably scared SH!1LESS people were trying to break the windows out of the car.

There is a duty to confront bad guys. Is the standard for using lethal force different for LEOs and civilians?

Mike Brown had committed the crime of assulting a police officer. Forget the cigars, they are no longer important once he reaches in the window, punches the cop and tries to grab his gun. And it is a felony.

http://www.moga.mo.gov/statuteSearch/StatHtml/5650000082.htm

And when the cop got out of the car to apprehend the felon he did not consult his crystal ball so he didn't know the fleeing felon was going to turn and try to assault him again.

Posted

I happen to think the cop acted very reckless. By his own admission the only way he could stop Brown was TO SHOOT HIM.

So you are saying Officer Wilson acted "reckless", and it was unreasonable for him to fear grave harm or death because Brown first had assaulted him (in his squad), possibly attempted to disarm him (in his squad), and he should have just let him run away, and await backup?

Posted

A prosecution and a defense would have helped these 12 jurors sift through this massive data dump that was just handed to them with no real guidance from all accounts.

I happen to think the cop acted very reckless. By his own admission the only way he could stop Brown was TO SHOOT HIM. So when he gets out of the car and things escalate, like they did, and he is chasing him, then he has to shoot him when the guy finally stops. He should have waited for backup before they went after him.

We dont know if he shot him the second time when he was standing still. Maybe he was running back towards him when the shooting started. So many different accounts that maybe the lawyers could have helped the jury separate fact from fiction. It is quite possible they missed some stuff on their own.

The only thing the lawyers would have provided is spin.

Looks like the lady with yellow hair, who had been publicly in the Brown camp, has been "escorted" off tonight. Cop interview seemed rather credible, no doubt very rehearsed, but still credible.

Buck, say your in your car and someone reaches and punches you then a struggle over your gun.

Shots fired and the perp takes off. At that point your life is no longer in danger and you can't use deadly force. What you should do is get out of there and call the police.

According to you though, the perp is big and mean and probably won't give up without a fight so we should let him walk away.

Well is wasn't you in that car, it was a PO and things are quite different. Catching bad guys is their job. Again a citizen would not have been able to pursue the perp, a PO yeah they can do that and we expect that they would.

Buck what annoys me is you don't have the facts and testimony the GD had but you come up with the opinion this PO should be charged with manslaughter.

We have a duty and right to question the government though peaceful protests.

If you go back and look at the Civil Rights Movement look at who the aggressor was in those protests that turned them into riots and look at who lead that movement. If you didn't have respect and admiration for Martin Luther King, you probably should now.

I see Holder overriding this Grand Jury verdict and having his people re try it all. Just my guess.

This entire ordeal is far from over, we will have to wait and see now what Holder and company do as far as new charges.

I'm so dam tired of this administration over stepping the law to do whatever they want. If they sidestep this to charge this officer for doing his job they are the ones that need to be prosecuted.

Police officers are obligated to apprehend violent people that have the potential to put the public at further risk of danger. They don't have the option to just let things go. Once MB got into the squad, assaulted the officer and went for the gun, he was clearly well within the category of dangerous felon. The fact that 12 shots were fired is not surprising. How many have emptied a clip at even a moderately moving buck through a small area only to drop it on the fourth or fifth shot? Or shot at the deer's shoulder only to find where you hit a 4" spruce tree that you didn't see in the sight or scope. Despite muscle memory from training, adrenalin and stress can produce a mind/body disconnect.

Now we have the AG still talking about pursuing civil rights charges, which is nothing but pandering, placating, moronic and dangerous. Since there is no way to prove that the Officer killed MB due to his race, or in any other way violated his civil rights, being an aggressor toward a police officer, there will be another build up to hearings and subsequent social unrest when it fails. He also said that looting is not condoned….condoned?! He should be unequivocally stating that the violators will pursued with the full weight and all resources of federal and local law enforcement. What about the civil and property rights violations of the business owners?...The majority of our leaders are absolutely clueless.

This is what we get when social justice advocates, race baiters, progressive activists and community organizers are placed in leadership roles: A setback in civil morality and race relations of gargantuan proportions that has been festering since initiation of many prior failed progressive programs. I am convinced now more than ever that our inner cities are going to further devolve at such an accelerated rate over the next decade that they won’t be considered habitable according to the minimal standards of the average productive and moral member of a functioning society. Maybe it has already happened. The Chicago riots of the late sixties have permanently altered their economy and relegated once prosperous communities to mostly fast food outlets and shuttered buildings.

As soon as I started reading mind went to needles and seats.  You might want to try just replacing those first?  I’ve only done that once before in my life but it made the difference.  A carb refresh in 8,000 miles seems reasonable.

Good luck smurfy!  On getting drawn, I mean!   If it comes down to it, I know a guy that might be interested in a nice hide.

My 30 year-old Indy 500 (over 8,000 miles) has been having a mid-range bog for many years now.  It is worse on warm days and when the engine is warmer.  The sled runs fine up to about 1/4 throttle, then runs extremely rich up to 3/4 throttle.  The spark plugs are dark brown (better brown than down?) but not saturated.  8 years ago I moved the clips on the jet needles from the 3rd to the 2nd groove to lean the mixture and it helped for a while.   Should I move the clips to the top groove (temporary solution)? Could the jet needles, needle jets, and/or the main jets be warn and need replacement?   Don't think I will have time to tear the carbs apart this season for a rebuild so I may just band-aid the problem.

My last hide I gave to my Taxidermist friend to make what ever he liked out of it.   I've got a few fun Bear hunt stories to be told.  All 3 of us our first year stupidly tracking a blood trail in the dark together and getting lost, luckily smelled the bait making circles and got out. 🫣 Flash lights dying, deep in a swamp following a blood trail in the dark, the one who stayed at the bait called us back in!  We learned our second bear! Lol. 😞  Downing a wounded charging bear with the last bullet when tracking, no lie! 😬    Have had my fun!  🥳

I remember that kegel… stuff….!   just finished my post work latte as a matter of fact!  Only the second case of those I’ve ever bought.     I’d get Mike something better.

application has been submitted. 👍   Leech......i've shot my share of bear......it be nice to get another but not the end of the world if i dont. i get to spend time with my son...its just another way to get into the woods. i've been at it since about 1976......that rush when you walk up to the bait and see the logs scattered all over and bait gone just doesnt get old for me.   i had to get rid of 1 rug because of bad tanning. i have another rug, shoulder mount and made 3 pillows from 2 different bear hides. my biggest issue has become what to do with the hide....that seems more of a trophy then the meat. i inquired 1 year at the Alex decoy show when there were a couple hide guys there and they didnt seem to interested. 🙄 i have no other ideas for the hide.......approval from the wife is not even negotiable!!!!!
