jamjumper
I have had a trip planned for quite some time for this thursday through monday. Are either of these rivers going to be fishable given the conditions at this point. I have been on them in high water, but this is getting a little ridiculous. is the mississippi perhaps a better option when the mn is flooding so high? any advice or info would be great...dont want to and cant really change the dates of the trip...can a person even fish? dan z
I fished the Minnesota last night. I was not over its banks but last nights rain prolly did it in. We actually found 4 spots were the current slowed to a fishable spot. This was west of Mankato. Good luck.
jamjumper
Excellent! That is the stretch I usually fish . If the rain pushes it over I guess it is what it is. We are pretty much pot commited at this point. will do the best we can with what we have. If push comes to shove...we may go to the mississippi. Hope the bite was worth the effort! Willy
Dont go on the MN River! Stay off! This is good advice. You are asking for big time trouble if you are thinking about fishing or being on the MN river this weekend. Even experienced boaters would be foolish to attempt it. Use your head. It's as bad as it can get right now and even God himself would have a hard time catching fish on it right now.
YiGGiN4SLoBS
drove past the MN twice today and every time i looked there was debris in the water. its ridiculously high. Wont even think about fishing it for a while
