I've always been wanting to check out Fogo but I have never made it there. Heard nothing but unreal things about it once you get past the initial shock of the price.

It's an interesting time, that's for sure.

Goood food, and lots of it. You could certainly do worse in downtown.

Could just do the salad bar to cut the $$$. Even calling that thing a salad bar is an insult to it. Its basically a buffet of awesome

I'm down.

We need reservations or somethin? I usual do downtown dining on the weeknights so no clue how they do it there on weekends.

Looks busy most times though.

One day a guy looked at his old fishing rod at went... "There's gotta be a tougher way to catch fish"... and he built a fly rod... but I'd have it no other way since I've started... spinning rod just sits there in the corner now collecting dust

I gotta learn how to fly fish, sounds like a better way on the river

You live in a great area for it too. I'd definitely recommend picking one up and giving it a shot if I was you. Shoot, if you're free on Saturday, swing down to Blaine and learn a thing or two about the sport. You could get free casting lessons all day long, helping to seriously cut the learning curve way down. There are some great casters that will be there this year too.

Yep, good times. Once you get comfortable casting you'll quickly figure out that fly fishing can out produce lure fishing and even bait fishing at times. Especially with panfish and trout. Even when it isn't the most effective method it is still fun! Learning is manageable too, if you don't fall into the common trap of trying to cast too far when you are starting out (a trap I was stuck in for years).

fly fishing can be very frustrating at times... I think that's why so many anglers carry a flask or a couple beers with them.. wink

Onafly: these guide series shirts are soooo smooth. I hear they're even UV resistant! I must have them.

Slabs: WORD. Dude, they're some pretty slick threads. How many do you spose you can fit into that little daypack?

Itch: Pffft. Whatever guys. The orvis stuff is where it's at!

Ha, yeah he was pretty impressed with that hat.

Onafly and I chatted with him for a bit, I had not seen his 'process' before.

He does cool work for sure. Wish I had the $$ to throw at that pike painting he had. That one caught my eye specifically.
