Thinking about heading down there on Sunday. Any tips would be great full I no that dragging is working from what I herd but where up by the dam or the Y or down river. I really only no the dam area haven't had the chance to run south and try to learn the river. I live up in St. Joseph MN it is a long driver but love fishing the river. So if anyone could help me out would be great THANKS.

If referring to the river / Lake Pepin area, it froze over Thursday night. Pretty sure its ice all the way from Wacouta to Reeds Landing. Just wanted to give you a heads up before you trailer your boat south to find a big sheet of ice.

The dragging bite can be awesome, doesn't really get going until it is dark, be patient cause they WILL bite, sometimes not until sun is all the way gone, and the like a light switch it will begin.

I like working 10-14 foot depths, shallower can be good as well.

Have fun, once you figure out a speed/plastic pattern it's a blast.

Last week caught a lot of nice cookie cutter 18 inch walleyes, nothing over yet 23 inches this winter.
