Oh no Burb-slayer, if the blue water you drank tasted like blue raz Hi-C with a touch of aqua velva, then you obviously were drinking the blue water out of Northern Dave's fiberglass outhouse, oh man, sorry about that. I just assumed that was common knowledge, guess that is why we have this technical questions thread, so that everyone can learn.

You have heard the phrase "don't eat the yellow snow", well that sort of logic applies here too, don't drink the blue water with the corn kernels floating in it.

The blue minnow water is completely different, it will have a little less of a citrusy taste. More like if you made blue kool-aid but forgot to add the sugar. And of course it would have a hint of minnow flavor.

Be careful boar. There is some imitation blue water out there that will not work as well.

It is often delivered in bulk containers such as this.

With the recent solar flares all you should need to do is stand outside at high noon without your tinfoil suit & wait for the proper shade.

I heard any fish brought to the surface must be immediatly cleaned & consumed befor adverse mutations set in during this period.

I'm no chicken little but what do HSO think?

Thats right, once uve'd cleaned some fish the fillets are possessed, so if you do a cleansing right away they mutate into a virus that inmatates cell structure an eventually become U. Then u can charge Urself to come into ur own ice house

Splash a little blue minnow water on the fillets and cook them over an invisible fire.

Serve with a side of red gummy bears.

Problem solved.

Have you ever thought of being a consultant?

Why not charge for this vast knowlege base?

It can be home based as well.

These are-or are not fish houses? I have been fishing in these and got no bites--well--one eel pout. I tried the gummies. trouble is when I use one and fire up the heater it does have an awful odor. But, I thought these were the rental houses we were supposed to use. Ice Castles or something?

Please keep our local eelpout & bullhead hot spots a secret. We don't want people tryong to pull their wheel houses into those spots!

BTW- that made me lol

I dont think that was an eelpout wahoo, more like a muddpuppy, or did u snag a babyruth.

To think of it, it did have a baby ruth flavor once cleaned and cooked--on the ice and legally!

I'll bring this over to this thread as I think it will fit in better here.

Twisted, do you run the same amount of PSI in your tracks on both those rigs? Northern Dave, My dimmer switch is acting up on my diesel auger again, any advice. Hang on boys, this is gonna get fun!

I have installed a central inflation system to keep the proper pressure in the tracks.

The weird thing is, being this close to the North pole & the amount of steel used in construction of the tracks, they tend to pull toward the North.

So my answer is I keep slightly less pressure in the South track to off-set the Northward pull.

I'll be having quite a battle with the solar flare messing up the magnetic fields.

Of course I'm preaching to the chior on that subject.

is that more pressure on the south tracks when you are heading east or west? What about when you are going straight north or south? I hope it doesn't make a difference cause I usaully don't know if I'm coming or going.

The system automatically compensates for the direction of travel but that was why the solar flare issue. Even the rig didn't know if it was coming or going.

Nort & Sout are easy to decipher because of the noticibaly better mileage while heading Nort vs. Sout. Now that's a lot of "pull".

I we were to place large super magnets on the four points of the lake that will create a positive presure reaction on your track thus canceling out the solar flares due to tectonic alignment on the floor of the lake, the drift of the ice sheet will also cease moving because the ozone layer in the ice has nuetralized itself with high cabonate concentrate of nuerotoxins in the secretion layer. Might not have to wear ear plugs when I mow!      That’s a spendy one.  It wasn’t hard to find one of those for $6k.  Comparatively and Ariens of the same size is $4,200.  A home owner grade JD for $3,900.  You could get into a commercial grade Z700 for maybe $8k.   I think the work I did today with mine would’ve killed that one there.

On the south end...   This year's MN Fishing Opener weekend was not only great weather wise, the walleyes and saugers were caught in good numbers.  A main fish gut hauler working with a number of resorts commented it was one of the most productive opening weekends he has seen based on the amount of fish guts collected after the weekend. The goto presentation was a jig and frozen emerald shiner.  Emerald shiners are a staple in LOW and walleyes love them.  Other minnows worked also, but emerald shiners are a favorite of anglers for good reason.   Four Mile Bay held good walleyes in 12 - 18'.  Not a surprise as the walleye bite on the river during the spring season was good and as of late, sturgeon anglers have been reporting catching walleyes on sturgeon rigs.   The Lighthouse Gap area, Morris Point Gap and just in front of Pine Island held nice fish in 12 - 15'.  Across the south shore, 18 - 22' was holding good numbers as well.  As you can see, there are lots of fish around.     A quarter ounce jig in gold, glow white, pink, orange, chartreuse, or a combo of these colors tipped with a minnow worked well.   As a reminder, the limit of walleyes and saugers is a combined limit of six fish, up to four of the six can be walleyes.  All walleyes between 19.5 - 28.0 inches must be released.  One fish over 28.0 inches can be kept.  The possession limit in MN is one daily limit of fish. On the Rainy River...  Some nice walleyes were caught on the river this weekend, although most anglers hit the lake.  10 - 15' of water was the norm.     Sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River has been excellent.  The catch and release season continues through May 15th and then closes until the keep season starts up again July 1st. Up at the NW Angle...  Some nice walleyes were caught in 18 - 25 feet of water, a little deeper than anticipated.  Points were good as were areas with structure.  The morning and evening bite was best.       As water continues to warm, go to spots for walleyes will be neck down areas, shoreline breaks, points and bays.     The goto presentation was a jig and minnow.

I found this dock wheel floating in Black Bay. If it's yours or you know whom it belongs to, go and grab it.
