Cold water ?

Does the water seem cold for this time of year? Seems last year the fish were really active by now, or is my memory going?

old timer, I would say the water is right about normal for temps. It still is a little cool to get fish active, but I would not say it is below normal. These mild temps days, with rain will start to move the water temp up. Get some 50-60 and sunny days, it will start to move quicker!

I would throw out a guess of about one in half weeks to two weeks before it gets warm enough (stable mid 40’s) for them to start the spawn. Once that happens, then the bite will pick up. I would say water temp is right on track for this time of year.
