Lake Road Lodge

So im goin up with the family for my birthday and were staying at Lake Road Lodge Motel. has anybody ever fished outa his houses before? He was out guide over the summer at Ballards and he really knew his stuff. My second ? is pike i know up there you either go shallow to get them or dont even try. But is there a way to try and get them if we are in 20-30 FOW? because i caught one last year in about 30 ft and it was a Blast nothin like pullin a 36 inch pike thru the ice. But i figured i should ask and see what i could do out in the deep water.

I stay at Lake Road Lodge every year. They are a little complacent as to how they handle the guests, but it is still polite with good intentions. I stay there because they mostly leave you alone to fish with your own gear. It is just easier to use a house instead of the portables and they keep you full of bait and heat.

His house always gets us a good limit in a day and a half of fishing. He does a good job keeping them on the spot and prides himself on the number of fish caught. Listen to what he tells you about depth and presentation in the house and you won't be sorry.

I go back every year, enough said.
