Hey, guys - I'm looking for a place to tie an older 16' Ranger 40hp up to around the St Cloud area for the 2018 season where I can come and go without restrictions. Will trailer it to other lakes sometimes. Lake or river. I'm disabled, so close too parking or accessible with my electric scooter would be great. Lift not necessary. Thank you, Tony

Any area ice reports? I'm hearing that most of the smaller bodies of water in the area have now frozen over. Should make it out sometime this weekend to try my luck . Good luck, and please stay safe

Rick G posted a topic in St Cloud Area Fishing Reports - Hunting - Events
Where is everyone headed? I plan on doing the chain again this yr. Will be looking along shallow weed edges, and breaks just off the shallow feeding areas. Would expect to get all my fish in under 12 ft. Good luck to all and be safe- 16 replies

Just when you thought you had seen it all
Rick G posted a topic in St Cloud Area Fishing Reports - Hunting - Events
Over the yrs I have caught just about everything that swims in our local lakes....Andrea showed me a new one, lol... a koi she hooked it while fishing for pannies on a local lake. I have seen them while walking around lake George and one or two in the river over the last decade....but never caught one. We had pretty good luck on the panfish too, few of the hybrids pushed the 1lb mark, and some of the gills were of very respectable size for our area..... bigger crppies haven't showed up yet on this body of water, but plenty of 8-10in ones were caught in the two hrs we fished. -
Ok, I have 5 tunsten ice jigs to give away. Here is the catch..... I have 3 for a new member, less than 1 month on the forum. You have to post a picture of yourself icefishing within the last year. The other two jigs go to a member that has been around longer than a month. Same deal goes, you must post a pic of you icefishing. No Fm staff can win this.... but you certainly may put up a pic here...lol. Contest goes from Now- Jan 5 at midnight.

Hey everyone Rookie fisherman here looking to add a tool to my kit. Got all geared up this year with help from family and only thing I'm missing for some serious fishing is a flasher. I've used vexilar in the past and love them, but if anyone has an old flasher they are willing to give to a rookie for a good price please let me know. I've checked craigslist and will keep searching for one, but figured I'd let a line out here too

Got out to one of my favorite rasberry bushes last evening, picked about a half gallon in a little over an hr. I am pretty sure we would have had quite a bit more if my picking partner didn't eat half of hers Going to get some red ones on Sunday. Anybody have a good pie recipes? -
st cloud Who are we, St Cloud area
Rick G posted a topic in St Cloud Area Fishing Reports - Hunting - Events
Well, now that the new Fishing Minnesota is up and running smooth, I figured maybe some of us could introduce ourselves. I would like to hear from the newer members, the regulars and the guys we haven't heard from in a while You don't have to go all indepth or anything, just a simple hi my name is..... or you can tell as much as you would like to share. Thank you to all who reply My name is Rick, 40 yrs old, I grew up here in good old St. Cloud. I live on the South side of town with my girlfriend Andrea (whom I spend countless hours fishing with), three cats and my somewhat loyal hound DakotaMost wold say Andrea is the better angler, I think she was taught well and learned fast I like watching the Twins, some fishing and hunting shows and classic movies And shows. Favorite actor is The Duke, favorite artists are Neil Diamond and Bob Segar. Love spending time in the woods, at the river, and just being outside in general. Durring the odd times I find an unplanned moment, I like looking for agates, crossrocks, raspberries and all kinds of edibles. Life is pretty darn good most of the time I have been working as an installer of ice rink cooling systems and mechanical insulation for the past few yrs. My job has alowed me to see a good part of this great nation I fish just about every chance I get, I think of the Mississippi as my home water, Horseshoe chain a close second. I remember even as a small child, this need and passion to catch that next fish. Am I addicted? Lol, yes I am!!! That's what brought me to this great site! Information and the abbility to connect with fellow fisherman is what I like best about Fm. So many great folks I have met throuh Fm, even a few I figure will be life long friends- 31 replies
