I know it says to read and save them, but if anyone needs a refresher:

My favorite: 'Disconnect fan when moving from one location to another.'

"Man, is it hot! I should keep this baby blowin' on me wherever I go... Uh, hon, could you get out that 500 foot extension cord, please?"

Ok you are not going to believe this. But today i went out to the front of my house and on my steps is a 20 inch box fan, the front cover is off and there are only 3 blades left out of 4, the cord has no end it it and it looks like its been to hell and back.. So i left it sit there on my front steps. Then i stumbled onto this thread and just read all this about a box fan.. I have to say this is quite funny, has the box fan returned?

Well, there aren't any teddy bear stickers or Kansas City Royal Stickers, but there is a unicorn sticker...coincidence?

Well the only reason why theres a unicorn sticker is cause i was good at docs for blood work, so i got some stickers LOL... nahh my daughter got them for her blood work, she has had cancer since 2 1/2

So Kallista, are you hanging on to the fan, or is up for grabs. I was just near Ely this past weekend, could have picked it up. If it's still around during deer season, I might still be interested.

Please don't put any stickers on it. I think I'll try and restore the 20" box fan to like-new condition.

Thanks!

Nope its gone..I left it on my front steps and it walked off. Not sure who put it there but maybe they took it back? So the case of the 20 inch box fan is once again a mystery.

But i still have stickers up for grabs.. Just really weird it was there tho..

Note to self...

Stock up on broken-down, used 20" box fans... there's a definite market for them in Minnesota!

Good Luck!

Was passing the time on Main street here at Lake Iwanttobethere. I was doing some window shopping when I noticed a pale weathered orange VW van slowly driving down main street in my direction. It was all done up in painted flowers and green leaves. It reminded me a lot of my long forgotten past youth. It caught my attention not because of the loud muffler or the vast number of bumper stickers and other stickers which were covering rust spots. But it was what was in the back window as it passed me. There appeared to be a 20 inch box fan pressed up against the glass, it was missing a blade and it sent a chill down my back as I could almost hear it crying out for help. I turn to see if anyone else had seen the van and by the time I turned back it was just making a turn off main street and was gone from sight. Somehow I got that gut feeling that the fan was in some sort of trouble. I soon forgot about it till I saw mention here about a 20 inch box fan. Hmmm

Just installed a wood stove in my garage,I need a fan for cirulation, the socks will work as hot pads or rags! so im interested in both!!Could they be shipped??Of course I dont accept dirty socks so I'd pay extra to have you wash em.By the way is one sock white with a hole in the toe??It could already be mine,in that case I'll accept it dirty but at no charge.

Doc Burriem here in town told me that he has a friend that could hook me up with one of them police sketch artists. Along with a hypnosis perhaps I could remember more about the VW van and the 20 inch box fan.

Should do it..I am hearing of other stories of missing box fans from around MN.. Someone left a note with a pic, stating they were holding some box fans ransom. Maybe someone out here can identify these fans or the where abouts of them.

If we can find the thing before Sunday I could use it to cool the skis on my fishing shack after the fling at lake Iwannabethere. If anyone has seen it let me know. Thanks././Jimbo

The mouth of the creek is quite a ways downstream from the landing, and you’ll have to cross several peoples’ docks. Entire stream is surrounded by private property. Sure, you can technically legally access the stream, but why would you want to bother with the headache of dealing with landowners that DON’T want you there? Stream is small enough to step across in most places, it’s very weedy, and lot’s of overhanging brush. Not to mention, below average at best numbers of small trout!   You want easy access? Buy a Wisconsin license! Right across the river in Pierce County alone, there’s hundreds of miles of public easements on trout streams that are ten times better than anything Minnesota has to offer!

Pike suckers are about 3½ inches long.  Walleyes really like them in the fall and early winter.  Caught my fish in 13-15 FOW drifting slowly.  Good solid bites.

Got up Thursday evening to rain and pretty heavy wind Friday morning had us holding off on putting the boat in the water. Fished briefly Friday evening at sunset and picked up an 18" and a couple smalls. Fishing was decent Saturday morning but no real size, everything was 12-15". I had one that looked to be 17"ish flop off as I was trying to flip it into the boat. All the fish we caught were in 17-22'. We were fishing around about a 6' top but never caught anything on top. They appeared to be relating to the structure but not actually on it. Tried again Saturday evening for a couple hours and continued to pick up small walleye just like the morning. Sunday was windy again but we decided to slug it out for awhile and caught one decent perch and one small walleye. We fished similar depths and spots as Saturday but they weren't there. Marked them out in 35'+ but didn't feel like fighting the wind out in the big water so we called it quits around noon and never went back out(the wind never really did lay down or we may have tried again). Jig/minnow way outfished bottom bouncers/crawlers. Wish bottom bouncers would have worked better because it was tough to keep a jig down as fast as we were drifting and we never found a school to spot lock on.

I am heading up there tomorrow.  Where do you guys get minnows up in the area?  Tower or Cook or down in Virginia?  I have never heard of pike suckers?  How large are they?  Are you guys fishing the East or West side of the lake?  Let me know.  I am thinking of fishing the East side tomorrow and then headed to the west side from Thursday thru Sunday.  Any help would be appreciated?  I am a newby to the area.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
