I cannot believe how great Ortiz is pitching! Do you think he will stay like this all year...any thoughts?

I hope he does, he has looked good so far and that last night was against a very good line-up. We need a solid 2nd starter in our rotation. He is our Little Papi...

Thankfully, the bats came alive in the 8th to seal the win for RO. What a great performance. Love that emotion he shows!

It's amazing how hard he throws for how small he is. We need somebody to step up to that #2 behind Johan. Hopefully Ramon wil be that guy.

I hope so. We need a starting pitcher upside surprise or this is going to be a tough year.

Hopefully he will. It would be nice to get 10-12 wins from him this year. That would be a good compliment to santana.

Thing I like best about Ortiz is that he lets the ball fly without standing on the mound doing a lot of thinking.

He's pitching good against the Mariners tonight as well. He goes after the batters. So far so good. by the way.. Torii Hunter just hit a grand slam! Twins up 7-1 bottom of 5.

Extra base hits by the cartload, Ramon (3-0) Ortiz's sinking 2-seamer inducing ground outs and nifty DPs, getting reminded by my wife how down I was on Torii last June and how she has always kept the faith, and a very crooked number. (I'd say '11' qualifies.) Nicely entertaining night. And I debated staying up to watch.

Great game. Ortiz may not be a true #2 guy, but he is sure filling the role for now. Only about one starting pitcher away from having a competitive rotation at the moment. Not a "2006 good" staff, but perhaps sufficient to stay in the hunt.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
