Heading to winnie has any one been useing bugs? Whats the best lures to use? Any info will help!!! Sweny seems to me I fished with you befor maybe well run in to each other!!!!!!!

I think bugs work really good for jumbos on some lakes (Mille Lacs) but not at all on other lakes (Winnie) unless you want to catch 5 inchers. I've been going to Winnie for years and gave up on bugs there long ago. Plastics maybe, minnows for sure, bugs no way. I like moving around a lot and fishing aggressively for aggressive fish. When we were up a few weeks ago, some in our group did all right with waxies, mousies, and eurolarvae...I don't think there was a significant difference between their success and the success with minnows or minnow heads, though. No one bait seemed to be significantly better than any other.
