Ok, so I go and am looking at booking a cabin for the beginning of august, on lake osakis. Is the fishing still fine then?, or how about the greeness of the water? anything about the lake in that time frame(begin. of aug.) would be nice.

the fishing is pretty good the big sunfish are moving on to the shallow bars, the walleyes usally are biting near structure and the crappies are starting to school up. northerns you can catch just about anywhere. as far as the lake turning green the last few years it hasnt they did some work to the lake its the clearest ive seen it in 20 years.

the outlet on the east side, yates point, millers point, two mile and crow point are my favorite spots for bass, but theres so many bass in the lake(large and smallmouth)its hard not to catch them. ive used the same lure for about ten years, blue and chartruse strike king spinnerbait with a gold, diamond cut blade and tipped with a chartruse mister twister tail.
