Four of us stayed in Russ & Judys sleepers Wednsday and Thursday nights. Nice ice castle house and Russ & Beaver were very acommidating. 1 crappie wendesday night. Caught and released around 60 beautiful eyes. Largest coming in at around 23". Most were 17" to 20". Thursday we went hunting. Drilled a lot of holes and covered a large area out of WW and Hillmans. Never saw a crappie, but it was a great trip. Those eyes in the Red Lake are so pretty. They have a lot of color, and are very healthy looking. Gonna be a lot of fun next winter. Hope the crappie bite picks up for those that are planning trips.. Good luck, and at least enjoy the eyes if the crappies don't bite.
