Nisswa area fishing report!

Recommended Posts

Panfishing has been little spotty this week. We’ve seen sporadic success on Margaret, Pelican, Gladstone and Lake Hubert for crappies. It is mostly an evening bite so far. Small glow jigs tipped with wax worms or small crappie minnows are producing the best results. Most fish are still being caught in the deeper holes. Sunfish have been going OK along the weed flats in 8-16 feet of water. Small ant style jigs have worked well lately. The perch bite is going real good on Mille Lacs. Work the edges of the Mud Flats with small jigging spoons. The action should only get better in the coming weeks as the snow begins to melt away.

Time to root on the Gophers hockey team. Another league title, if only we could get the football and mens BBall programs to hold their own.
