Fish Trap Poles sticking...

Walleye71

Question

I noticed the last couple of times i've used my Fish trap Guide the poles are sticking and it is becoming more of a challenge to set the house up. I'm referring to pulling the frame poles out to get them to snap into place before you flip the tent over.

Does anyone have a secret to make them slide better other than spraying them with a little WD40?

I've heard of some people using powdered graphite, silicone spray, car wax...

On the otters it sounded like the biggest problem was that there was a metal burr on the end of the pole that collapses that was causing the difficulty...

Polish them up with steel wool then put a coat of car wax on them. Graphite would work to but think if the mess.

I have had the same problem with my Otters.

Steel wool and silicone spray solved the problems!
