Clam 2000

Question

I am looking at getting a small extra portable. Right now I have an Otter Lodge but would like a small backup, nothing fancy. I was looking at the Clam2000, anyone have any thoughts?

I have a clam 2000 and love it. It easy fits in my Durango and is light enough for one person to lift. It has ok headroom if you're not over 6' tall. It has a lot of room for a suitcase style. IMO the floor in the Clam is better than the floor in the comparable Shappell models. It has the molded plastic 5 gallon bucket holders so your stuff doesn't shift while pulling. This is the perfect time to buy one because I got one for $120.00 on clearance from Gander last year.

BP, thanks for the input! After looking at them at Gander I would have to agree, for the price you cant go wrong so I picked one up at a fairly good deal. Its not my main house but a good backup.
