One last outing on Tonka

I'm heading out to Tonka midday on Thrs. until dark for pike/walleye in the Wayzata Bay. Haven't been out there in several weeks. Anyone have any final thoughts on depths to try for Pike during the day and eyes in the evening?

We stumbled upon a couple pike Sunday late afternoon in about 15 fow while searching for walleyes more on the west end. We got a 22" on a shiner and a 25.5" on a spoon with a fathead head. Nothing huge but they were fun and unexpected. I also had a fish on inbetween the two northerns that I feel was a walleye. I lost him about half way up and never saw him but he was fighting more like a 16-17" eye than a northern. After the sun went down the crappie action was pretty fast and furious. Mostly 8-9" with one 11".

Get on the weedline or even above them. Anywhere from 14ft to 6ft depending on the green weeds. The bigger pike are in shallow chasing baitfish during the day. See them on the Aquaview all the time when fishing for gills.
