How many people have...

Ralph Wiggum

Question

...pulled apart a reel to lube it only to find out that it won't go back together? Man, that is frustrating. When will I learn? I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but this one just boggles my mind. Oh well, it will give those folks at Okuma something to do, and I don't need the reel for a while. Sorry, just needed to vent.

Do you have a diagram for it? If the parts aren't in the right order sometimes they won't go back together.

Yeah, I didn't even pull much out. I looked at the schematic, it's not gonna help me this time. I figure that I'm better off sending it in.

Been there, done that. I also thought it best to send in. When they are coming apart it all seems so simple. I think it has happened to all of us a time or two!

I can always seem to take them apart and put them back together with one small probelm, I can never get the anti-reverse to work after i put it back together

LOL. I got the anti-reverse to work...this time. The problem with this reel is that its got a bait-runner drag, too. Whew, a little more complex than your ordianry reel.
