I went out to an area tonight that has produced nice walleyes for me in the past, but I wasn't quit sure what to expect with this nasty cold front that recently passed through.

I set up on an 10-11' basin with a sand bottom. The walleyes were moving right on the bottom early (3:30-5:00), but they just weren't responding to what I had to offer them. I found some more aggressive walleyes 3'-5' off the bottom right at dark. They were hungry for a tiny jigging rap tipped with a minnow head. They would seem to hit better if I pulled the bait from under them and the slowly lift it over them. It sure is a blast when that green blip on the flasher turns to a thick red one and races up and smacks smack that jig with some AUTHORITY!!!

The walleyes were running 14"-15" and very fat.I also tried a variety of spoons and different colored jigging raps with no success.

GOOD FISHIN!!!!!!!!!!!
