This is to the guy who parks his pickup and trailer along Glader who then crosses private property with his wheeler, leaves Busch Light beer cans on the ice around his fishing holes then comes back to shore when all done and deposits the empty cases on said property. I hope your not a member of this group but if you are or your friends are DON'T COME BACK YOUR KIND ISN'T WELCOME. Please everyone be aware of private property and pick up your trash. good fishing

CK- I too would like to think that the members of this board are a higher quality of angler than the one you describe.

Do me a favor, get the lic plate number of this truck.. I know Mr.Stenson(Chisago Police Chief) quite well and would love to pass on that information to him...

Carp King, I was out on s center yesterday and saw the signs up on my way to the point. I am very sorry for people like that. You were nice enough to let them cross and they blew it. I saw some trash on the walk out off the point and was going to pick it up on my way in, but the snow covered it all. PEOPLE PLEASE PICK UP ANY TRASH, YOURS, SOMEONE ELSE'S, WHOEVER!!! It takes very little time and we can't complain about the fisheries and destroy them at the same time. Thanks for your post and sorry that people are so direspectful.

Good post.

Sad we have to pick up after others, but very good a few of us do. No questions asked.

Hounds and I were at North Center 7 AM this morning .

Picked up four empty Miller bottles on top of fresh snow right by launch.

We always have a trash bag in back of truck and pick up the junk when we can, no sweat.

PLEASE People!!

If you bring it with you, PLEASE take it home when you split.

Very simple thing to do.

Respect is something one earns. grin.gif

It is not automatic.

But one must respect other peoples private property and Mother Nature.

Nuff said.

Tom

I agree with Dietz, a license number turned into DNR or local PD can sure solve the problem. (Contact US Regarding This Word) like this should have their license suspend for awhile, maybe they will get the message. How hard is it to put a small garbage bag into the bottom of your sled and take the trash with you. Must be rocket science as some people just don't understand it. Bill

If you buy minnows they come in a bag.... I use this as a trash bag and every time out I end up filling it with garbage on my walk back in. On my walk out I usually stack the garbage in piles so when I walk off it is all piled up and just needs to be picked up.

Did you have any luck?     I got a bird but didn’t really do much for pics worth showing.

It depends on a lot of factors, I suppose.   I hung on to my last gas auger for a few years after getting into electric but I never used it so I finally sold it.  Haven’t missed it one bit.  You bet it was reliable though.  Still started on the second pull for the new owner.   After trying several options in the electric world, I’m currently settled on a Strikemaster 40V with Liteflight bits.  With 2 fully charged batteries, I fish all day in Canada, cutting 10 inch holes.     What I’ll agree with is, if you search by drilling and flasher sonar, you will probably be more comfortable with the run time of a gas auger.  When you start incorporating GPS mapping, forward facing sonar, and saved waypoints, you don’t need to Swiss cheese every spot you fish.  I can still run through both batteries when the fishing isn’t great but I never feel like I have to count my holes.  It’s more like: Did I need the second battery before the middle part of our fishing hours?  If I still can’t catch fish after running out 2 batteries, it doesn’t matter cuz the fish just ain’t biting.   That’s fishing on the dark side! 😉
