Bellingham Coyote Hunt Results?

Recommended Posts

Did anybody here the results of the Bellingham hunt this last weekend? We hunted right around Bellingham and only had a crack at one all day. One of my buddies hunted by Milan and they only got one and another buddy was by Madison and they didnt see any. Hopefully there starting to get thinned down a little.

Yeah I heard the Dawson guys run them with there sleds. We watched two sleds go up to a lot of abandoned groves and sloughs south/southwest of Bellingham. One of the sleds was older and black , not sure of the model, and the other was a newer ski doo yellow in color. They also always had a truck following them to every grove they hit up, probably the rest of there team. I heard they won the Ortonville hunt by chasing everything with there snowmobiles too. Didnt hear anything about the state land runners though.

If guys are running fox and 'yotes with sleds, the DNR is looking for that this winter. There are numerous reports in the DNR weekly Enforcement section on CO's ticketing people for that in recent weeks.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
