Ash Lake Ice

I'll be up in the area over the week of Christmas and was wondering about the access to ash lake north of Orr. Is it easy to get on? What about ice thickness and snow depth? Can I use a 4 wheeler to pull my portable around? Or is Pelican a better option?(where to get on the lake? Do they plow roads on Pelican?)

I saw that Vermilion has 18". I dont think you need to worry about ice thickness right now.
