Fished South Point for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon.

Ice is about 7 inches, water clarity is around 3 inches.

No fish. Didn't even mark one. Yuck.

Widetrack, how's the ice for sleds....rough, smooth? Were you out a ways or did you stay close to the top of the bar.

I went off from Buffalo point. Ice is as smooth as silk around there, as far as I could see anyway...

Didn't venture too far from the point, didn't want to push my luck... Went off the sandbar to about 15'.

Water is dirtier then I've ever seen... Can't see your spoon at 6 inches...

Won't be back out till the 17th, then I'm heading for the rockpiles...

Thanks for the report widetrack. I'll be up near Buffalo Point in about a month for 4 days. Maybe venture to that spot where I last saw you in the summer...if it isn't -40 every day. Makes the perm house that much more comfortable.

I don't like the water clarity report, but the ice report sounds good.
