Can you help me find a Bird Trap transducer?

fish nut

Question

I have an old [1985] Humminbird Bird Trap portable flasher that worked like new until the plastic on the transducer cracked. [The Bird Trap is a flasher mounted in a yellow metal box, handle on top, with room for a battery and transducer.] Humminbird's so-called lifetime warranty has expired, so they say. Makes me wonder just what 'lifetime' means! Can anyone out there direct me to a source for a good, used, puck-style transducer for this old bird trap? Thanks and good fishing!

I have the same unit on a small old boat. When my transducer went bad I just found another transducer of the same frequency and spliced in the the last foot or so of the connector end that connects to the flasher. Don't splice near the transducer itself.

If you're not familiar with splicing transducer cables, you may want to take it to a fish electronics place to do so.

Works like new with that set up.

Good luck.
