Vexilar batteries

MIKE IN lINO III

Question

I'm thinking of putting lights in my portable and I want to get a new Vex battery, where do you guys get your vex batteries and any idea of the cost?

Mike

I was at L and M Fleet supply last night and saw that they had a brand of battery + charger for $16.99. Last week they were on sale for $10--I don't know if they will run that sale again, but for that price they were a steal!

Most stores sell the vex batteries for 20 clams and a battery and charger for 25 bucks. At least that is what I have seen in 4-5 stores.Watch the amps on some of the cheap ones as they can be less than you think your buying.I bought a new vex battery for my vex and used the old one for my rope lights, but my old one still seemed to hold a good charge.

Cabelas has them for $20 a pop.

That big Gander in Forest Lake should have them as well Mike.

I'd suggest making sure its an actual "vexilar" gel cell battery...they hold a charge for a long time and last for years. I've had other, generic type batteries and they suck. Pay they extra money and get a vexilar brand battery and charger.
