Ice Update

Lots of travel on ice now. The slush layer is packing down fine, and with the onset of the cold weather being consistent and all, ice is thickening each day. Some areas of the lake have good clear ice with no slush, depending when it froze over. Use caution, but the are angling at the river entrance and other areas and of course the bays are filling up with spear houses. I expect sled traffic soon. good luck, guts

As of 12/7 Kab has 8-9 inches of ice pretty much everywhere. Namakan is not known and Rainy was still open water as of Monday 12/5. Early ice travel with caution.
