Island Lake near Emily

I've read the DNR website about Island Lake (not the one on WFC) and was wondering what the local "feel" for this lake is. We're checking out some cabins in the area. How's Island for walleyes...fishing in general? Is it a weedy lake?? Just any general info. would be much appreciated. We spend most of our time at the wife's parents place on Whitefish and love the area.

You can pull up the lake info on the DNR website. You could also call the local DNR Fisheries office and ask them if they know anything about it. Or, ask at the local bait shop in Emily- I think it is called Toms on W. side of 6 right as you enter town.
