prior lake

howz the first ice bite on prior. have a friend who lives up there and was wanting to try it out. what species, good areas to fish. would also like some names of other lakes in the prior lake area that are good for ice fishing.

howz the fishing on spring lake & how far is it from prior lake?

hohn, Spring lake is just down the road a ways. Upper prior is just across the road. Try fishing near the small bay between upper and lower prior.

spring is 4 miles by road but only 200 yards as the crow flys from prior. spring has been really slow the last few winters except real late ice. zero pike - two walleyes - one white crappie - dozen or so perch - and only a few black crappies excet for that late season - we really hit them late but that was about it. hope to spear my first pike this year out there but those reports were thin as well.
