Fishfinder Battery Question....

berke99

Question

This winter I plan on using a spare vexilar battery to power a light in my portable icehouse. I was wondering if the battery were to tip on it side, would it hurt the battery or do any damage (as long as the battery did not get shorted across the terminals)? This is a sealed type battery.

It wouldn't hurt a gel cell to tip it over. I use my Vex battery for my bow mounted depth finder all summer. It is always tipping over.

I have a MarCum camera and the battery is stored under screeen tipped on it's side. I don't think it's a problem at all since it's sealed (really sealed).
