Fish House Parade

Hey, just curious on Aitkin's World Famous Fish House Parade. A bunch of my friends and I are planning on coming up this year to watch. Just wondering what kind of events they have during the day etc. (I was on Aitkin's website, but they only had last years flyer, not much of explanation.)

It is a good time for the whole family. I don't know what will be going on outside of the parade but it is a fun thing to come watch. I don't think you will be dissapointed. Come early, bring a chair and dress warm!

I also saw the chamber site and they don't have it updated yet. i don't think things are quite finalized as of yet. you can call them at 218-927-2316 and they may have the info or will get it to you when available. check Fishing minnesota's lodging stuff for stay options. Deerwood is only 10 miles to the west toward Brainerd. Hope this helps.

Also, for the other question posted, the parade is the day after Thanksgiving and rumor has it that Gov. Pawlenty is the guest of honor this year.

The Fish House Parade is a pretty fun deal. It's nothing huge but still pretty entertaining. It's always the day after thanksgiving. That's news to me anderson about Paulenty being the guest of honor and that's cool if he is. Look for the Aitkin Wrestling float. I'll be on there. As far as other things going on there may be some sales in the downtown stores but as far as I know not much else goes on.
