I thought I would get the ball rolling for this weekend's report. Saturday was not a fun day, but was able to get out in the afternoon. We boating a few nice crappies and sunfish on Fish. I went out early this morning and tried Washington. I mainly fished squirrel nest point and boating a 15 inch walleye and one bass. It got darn windy for my little boat, but it was fun to be out. I noticed one other boat fishing the same structure as me and they had a couple of nice eyes. Looked like 18 to 22 inch range. Has squirrels nest point been hitting for anybody else? Well best of luck to you all and don't be afraid to waive!

Fished Washington Friday evening and Saturday evening and found a bunch of nice 16-18" 'eyes. Had enough for supper both nights. Squirrels Nest and Bakers Bay have seem to have cooled off, however, I never did not get any shallower than 24 fow. Hit 3rd point from 20-12 fow working the break and did well. Found a handfull of Crappies while I was there also.

Was out on Washington from noon until 9 pm last night, Sunday. Rough water put us in Mudd Bay (>4 fow) to stay out of the wind as were several of the boats out. Picked up a little of everything, but mostly "week early" bass. Fishing crawlers, leeches, fatheads, and crappie minnows under a bobber with pretty much anything including a plain hook. About 15-20 9-10" sunfish mostly around 3-4 pm, three sheephead, one small crappie, and quite a few bass-primarily 3/4, but five in the 4-6# range-all and evening.

Also tried drifting between 2-3 point and Bakers Bay with live bait rigs, nothing-didnt see any action on the guys jigging either.

Great day to be on the water. Got the first burn of the year out of the way. By late evening, the lake was glass after white caps all day.

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate next weekend too. Hope we dont get to much rain this week! Pepin for Memorial Day.

Went to Lura this weekend and caught a couple walleyes on leeches. The weeds are getting worse every day. It won't be long and it will be hard to fish the lake.

Great reports guys! I'll be out again on Wednesday evening after work. Probably heading to German.

Big DS, I noticed you fish deep water quite a bit. It looks to me like I'm the "shallow guy" and you're the "deep guy". Ha!

FISHED SHALLOW ON THE EAST SIDE FROM CAMP PATTERSON SOUTH LAST NIGHT AND WAS ABLE TO CATCH AND RELEASE SEVERAL NICE 'EYES. KEPT A COUPLE OF 18". WITH THE NICE STABLE WEATHER THIS WEEKEND SHOULD BE GREAT ON ANY OF THE AREA LAKES. LOOK SHALLOW IN THE EVENINGS!

I have a Weboost cellular amplifier at Wakemup Bay. It increases the signal from 1 bar or less to 3-4 bars BUT there is more to the story than bars. For data (like streaming video) I get faster data speeds WITHOUT using my booster. The reason as I understand it is that cellular data transmits and receives on multiple channels simultaneously (its called Multi-In-Multi-Out or MIMO.) Most boosters only amplify a single channel at a time. While the phone shows a good signal from the booster it can actually reduce the data speeds that are available with MIMO transmissions. A booster can improve your voice communications while diminishing your data speeds. You might want to look at the Mobile Internet Resource Center on YouTube for a better explanation.

57 in Black Bay and 44 in Niles Bay today.  The lake is changing by the day and the fishing reflects it.

So sorry, wish I could boat over to help. I think we will wait an extra week to head north.  Prayers for a good resolution.

Good morning Mtnman. Yes, the whole rainy lake watershed is under a flood warning. Water is as high as it was back in 2014. Forecast is that is should peak around May 20. All the ice went out last week with all the wind and rain we had. My dock didn’t make it though. Ice blew in and lift the whole thing, crib and all. Mother Nature…adds another project once the water is warm enough to work in. This week looks a little drier…I hope! Safe travels when you do head North.

The water was over 22 at the very south end of Mud and the overflow pond. I took that route to get to the cabin, I just moved the signs and drove through, saw a couple carp sunbathing on the warm road. 😂
