Burntside Lake fishing help

Any tips on fishing Burntside the last week of May? My particular fish of interest are Smallmouth, Northern, and Lake Trout. I have my own boat and gear.

Any info is appreciated.

Guardsman,
Fishing Burntside can be very difficult, but can also be very productive. Burntside has lots of natural feed which can make convincing a fish to chase a lure difficult. Try using lindy rigs and minnows, with a 5 or 6 foot leader like berkley vanish. This can be productive for walleyes and smallmouth.

For pike, take the dead river upstream to the the two small lakes at the end, (I can't remember the names) these lakes hold some nice pike. Try a sucker underneath a bobber.

For lake trout, try rattle traps. Cast out your trap, let it sink to the bottom, and then crank it back as fast as you can. Often times, the trout will hit as soon as you start crankin.

Guardsman, The Lake Trout will still be shallow, troll Rapala's in 15 to 25 ft. Opening weekend was very good. Many cabin owners catch trout right off their dock with cicco's/smelt.
